About Us

Crystal Martinez
General Manager
I am a Nevada Native, happily married for the 20 years with 5 beautiful children and 1 grandbaby. I started with Eden in September 2018 as a caregiver which was the start of my journey to being promoted to General Manager in January 2021. Becoming the General Manager has given me the chance to teach others the love of caregiving and what a difference we can make in the lives of the people we care for. Eden truly cares for its Clients and employees. Being a part of Eden is a wonderful feeling, knowing how many lives I have helped change makes going to work worth it every day.

Care Manager
I started caregiving as a teenager and have always felt being a caregiver is where I am needed the most. I started working for Eden before it was Eden and transitioned into the company that way (2013). I worked in the field as a caregiver for 3 years and loved being able to care for people in their own homes. This allowed me the flexibility to be able to be there for my kids and not feel like I was missing anything with them. I became the scheduler and was able to learn how to be a caregiver in a different way; caring for our clients by matching them with caregivers whose skill level and interests match their own. Then I became a Care Manager and again was introduced to being a caregiver in a different manner. I am able to meet our newest clients and introduce them to the world of caregiving from a different perspective. Now I am able to help our clients by showing them how compassionate and qualified caregivers can help them remain at home as independently as possible. I am grateful for Eden for allowing me to use the skills I've learned since I was a teenager and grow them to where they are now. I am looking forward to continuing to work for a company who values me personally, and provides continued support as I expand my commitment to providing the best care possible.

I’m a long time resident of Carson Valley. I am a mother to 4 children and also a grandmother to all grandsons! I have been an employee at Eden Home Care for a little over a year and I am proud to be a part of the team. I love this field of work because it allows me to apply the skills I have gained over the years of caretaking. This work environment allows me to meet new faces all the time, deliver complex care in their homes, give the clients the comfort of companionship and the rewarding career of fulfillment and satisfaction. I have recently been given the opportunity to be a case care manager, I’m looking forward to learning new things as I move forward in the company.

In-home, personal care services can help you remain safe, independent, and engaged in life by providing assistance with these activities. Professional caregivers can provide ongoing assistance with what are commonly called Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as:
- Toileting & Incontinence Care
- Transferring and Positioning
- Dressing, Grooming, Bathing & Hygiene
- Assistance with Feeding
For those who live alone, have declining mobility, or who are somewhat isolated from other family members and friends, companion care services can be a wonderful way to enhance your quality of life while improving safety and wellbeing. Social interactions have been shown to have a critical impact on life expectancy and overall health and wellbeing. And there are additional benefits to be gained when using a home care agency to find the right person as a companion. Companion caregivers also provide peace of mind to concerned family members who are unable to provide continuous assistance for their loved ones.
We help you gain confidence in your daily life by providing assistance for a range of tasks which may include:
- Medication Reminders
- Light Housekeeping/Laundry
- Meal Preparation
- Transportation for Errands/Appointments
At Eden Home Care, we understand the special challenges of older adults who suffer from Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia or memory loss and the stress this places on family caregivers. It is important that a patient’s routines are maintained in a comfortable, safe, and familiar environment. It is also important to have experienced caregivers who have been trained to compassionately manage behaviors such as agitation, wandering, mental confusion, and other conditions associated with dementia. We are committed to offering long term caregiver relationships, for consistency and emotional bonding, to provide comfort and companionship. Our caregivers often feel as though they have become members of the family.
A caregiver, who is a certified dementia specialist with advanced dementia training, is hand-selected to provide care and receives individualized instruction from the care manager on specific needs on an ongoing basis. A care plan is created that includes tasks and activities to create a meaningful and enjoyable day.
Regular follow-up visits are performed by the care manager to re-assess the current level of dementia, making changes to activities according to the results. Each family will receive access to education and personalized training from our care managers.
Home care services can also be used as a source of respite for family or caregivers. Many family caregivers take pride in the care they provide to their loved ones, but the physical, mental, and emotional demands of caring for a family member can be overwhelming at times. Caregiving is a difficult job and very few people are equipped to do it alone. Getting help is essential for your health, which is critical for your loved one.
Whether it’s for a few hours or a long vacation, Eden Home Care can provide the support and relief needed. Respite care can relieve stress, restore energy, and promote the necessary life balance.
There are a number of options for respite support. We will often arrange for a free in-home evaluation to discuss the type and length of respite care needed, and a plan of service will be developed.
Having a loved one with dementia is often more difficult on the family than it is for the individual. Eden Home Care caregivers receive specialty training on dementia to ensure that your loved one is provided with care that is individual to their needs.
WHAT THEY SAY...
What are our clients are saying about us?
It helps to have someone to care [for my Dad] and become part of our family.
I like how professional the caregivers are, they make life a lot easier. The caregiver [does] everything I ask without complaints. They are available when I need them and able to make changes when I needed them to. I appreciate my caregiver's responsiveness and willingness to do more.
I have good service because the caregivers do what I ask of them. I feel comfortable knowing that they are here to watch and take care of [my Dad]. They help around the house such as doing his laundry and cleaning around the house. They answer any question that I have right away and whenever I have a problem, they always satisfy my needs.
I like that the Agency makes a real strong effort to make sure we are taken care of. The caregiver shows up on time and meets my Mom's needs.
